Spring/Summer Playlist

One of my favorite ways to get ready for spring & summer (other than cleaning & shopping!) is by getting together a good playlist of songs. These songs make me feel pumped up and excited for the coming months. They range from upbeat dance-y pop songs, to rap, to electronic and indie. I put a spotify playlist with these songs (and a few others) at the end of this post if you want to listen to them instantly.

You're in Love - Betty Who

Fancy - Iggy Azalea Ft. Charli XCX

I Follow Rivers - The Magician Remix - Lykke Li

Something Good Can Work - Two Door Cinema Club

Feel Real - Deptford Goth

Yonce/Partition - Beyonce

Do you have a spring/summer playlist? What songs are on yours?

M.A.C Sheertone Blush

Hello Everyone,
This is just a short post about M.A.C Peaches Sheertone Blush ($21.00).

I think this blush is great. It's good for any event/daily wear, not overpowering. It's smooth, blendable, and has a cute all around color.

Would love to hear your insights, thoughts, comments, etc..

Skincare: Burt's Bees

Hello Everyone!

Today, I wanted to talk about my daily skincare routine. I use three products for my skin on a daily basis: a cleanser, a scrub, and a lotion. I will confess, I am a total Burt's Bees junkie when it comes to skin care! I went through a lot of trial and error with my skin and skincare products for awhile. After going through countless bottles claiming to "clear breakouts" and "not dry out skin" I finally realized that none of these products were working for me, in fact, some were making it even worse, something had to change. That's when the hunt began.

I started trying out milder cleansers. My forever favorite cleanser will always be Ahava Dead Sea Essential Aloe Vera Cleansing Cream. Sadly, I think they discontinued this product because I can't find it anywhere in stores or online! After sulking for awhile about it, I knew that it was time to go back on the hunt, there had to be something else out there. That's when I discovered these beautiful products -

Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser ($10)
Burt's Bees Peach and Willow Bark Facial Scrub ($8)
Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion ($4)

Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser

Burt's Bees Peach and Willow Bark Facial Scrub

Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion

I use these products daily. In the mornings I use the Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser. It's a light lotion cleanser, it leaves my skin feeling pretty moisturized, and makes my skin look brighter and fresher for the day. As well as that, I also use Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion in the mornings. It's fragrance free, oil free, doesn't clog my pores, and is not greasy at all. It is a SPF 15 lotion which is great for me, who forgets how beneficial sunscreen can really be sometimes. At night, I use Burt's Bees Peach and Willow Bark Facial Scrub. I feel like it really cleans my pores and exfoliates well. The ground peach stone they have in the scrub to exfoliate can be a bit harsh, I just make sure I am only scrubbing lightly.

Would love to hear your insights, thoughts, comments, etc..

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

Hello Everyone,
I bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora for $52.00. The colors are rouge based and the spectrum ranges from pink to black. The colors come in both matte & shimmery. All of the colors come off as very prim and pretty. The casing is gold and bronze colored with "wave" imprints and a snap closure. The palette comes with a dual ended application brush and a weeks worth of each of Urban Decay primers.

My favorite colors are -
Strange - A very pale powdery white. I use it to brighten inner corners of my eyes.
Trick - A metallic coppery color. It's very glittery, which gives it a bit of fall out. I use it to add shine wherever I want.
Nooner - A pinky-brown matte. It is light and powdery. I usually use this on my lid.
Burnout - A shimmery mauve with a frosty finish. I also use this on my lid.
Mugshot - A light brown, it is moderately shimmery. I use this on my outer crease mostly.
Darkside - A dark, highly pigmented brown. I use this color to fill in my brows.

The four primers it comes with are: Original, Eden, Sin, and Anti-aging.

All in all I love this palette. It is very versatile and fun!

Would love to hear your insights, thoughts, comments, etc..

Buxom Full-Bodied Lipstick

Hello all!

Recently, I went to Sephora and bought my first Buxom brand product, their full-bodied lipstick, in Menace.

It was $21.00 for a .13 oz tube. It's a dark red wine-y color cream lipstick with a satin finish. I thought the silver casing with thick black font was very chic and fun.

The color went on well, it was very hydrating, and lasted on me for around 6 hours pretty nicely. It harnesses and slight lip-plumping effect - hence "full-bodied"- without feeling tingly.

I think that this lipstick color would look good on a variety of skin tones. Even though it comes off as more dark, mysterious, and rebellious shade it is a versatile and acceptable look for many events. This is my favorite lipstick at the moment (I where it almost everywhere) and I will definitely be checking out more Buxom brand products!

Would love to hear your insights, thoughts, comments, etc..
